The Public Documents (Exemption from Diplomatic or Consular Legalization) Act, Cap. 122.

Barbados is a party to the 1961 Convention abolishing the requirements of diplomatic or consular legalization for foreign public documents. (i.e. The Hague Convention). The Hague Convention has legal effect in Barbados by virtue of the Public Documents (Exemption from Diplomatic or Consular Legalization) Act, Cap. 122.

IP Expertise and Support Staff for the Action “Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights

The Action is designed to contribute to the integration of the Caribbean Forum of ACP Group of States into the World Economy, through strengthening the enabling framework that stimulates innovation and competitiveness of the private sector. The specific objective of the action is to further upgrade and harmonise the system for IP creation, protection, administration and enforcement in line with the EPA provisions, and to contribute to regional integration in IPR. EUIPO, the implementing agency is looking for two full time experts to be assigned to the action for an initial duration of four years

  • one Activity Coordinator (900 w/d) with a strong background in IP (preferably in trade marks, designs and/or GIs), previous experience in implementing international cooperation projects, and experience in the Caribbean or Latin America.
  • one Project Support Staff (900 w/d) with previous expertise in the Caribbean or Latin America and experience in event organization, logistics, communication and/or international projects.
